As 2021 comes to a close, I’m doing as so many others are: looking back on my journey and counting my blessings. In September 2021, I was fortunate to meet this milestone: visiting my 50th state (Vermont — see the photo above!).
I had set this goal when I initially embarked on nomad life in 2020, and it took me just over a year. This means, in one year of traveling the U.S. by car, I visited 14 new states (the other 36 I had been to previously, including Hawaii and Alaska).
Check out my route! As you’ll see, I zig-zagged around the U.S. (including three weeks in Canada!) and caught one flight to central America.
