The book is true to its title: Julie lays out the ultimate guide for managing your money and mindset to achieve your sabbatical/gap year/nomad goals. She uses real numbers from her experience to explain how budgeting can and does work as a nomad. Plus, the book walks you through an exercise in budgeting/planning. Sometimes the book makes it sound too easy, but it’s great to know Julie’s had a great experience and I can achieve the same. You will finish the book full of motivation!

This book was wonderful! It is easy to read, practical, and encouraging. Whether you are planning a mini retirement or you just want to create a little more time and enjoyment in your current life, this book works. I appreciate Julie’s ability to educate financial concepts in a very practical and easy way. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

I throughly enjoyed this book! Julie did a great job of explaining how nomad life and taking a mini- retirement can be attainable, even with limited funds. While I have young kids and am not in a stage at the moment to take a sabbatical, I love the idea of it in the future and Julie helped make me hopeful that’s a possibility. Looking forward to continuing to follow her journey and highly recommend the book!

Most of us our cultured to live our life a certain way and when we feel a drive to go against the norm it can be challenging to make it happen. Well, when it comes to becoming someone that has turned an interest in travel and exploring to creating a nomadic lifestyle, Julie demonstrates how to make it happen. It is possible. Its there for all of us. She has shown us a way to do it. Thanks Julie! You’re an inspiration!

I don’t know if my iPad or iPhone can read my mind. But somehow I ran into Julie’s page on instagram. Her page and content was exactly what I was thinking and dreaming about for many years as I sat in traffic.

Her Ebook on living the NOMADIC lifestyle and taking a Sabbatical is broken down to its very last detail, in my opinion. The (and I quote the term) “Herculean Task” it took in creating a new life of adventure and experiences while facing all the fears and unknowns right dead in the eye is unexplainable.

And somehow taking the time to share this with the world in order to give us a way out of the rat race and hustle in the most responsible approach demonstrates the kind of person Julie is.

The human spirit and tenacity of living HER ONE life to its fullest and sharing her experiences gives me a lump in my throat as I right this. We only have ONE life, we don’t get a DO OVER. Gracias Julie!

Excellent guide to learn how to live your best life! Julie walks through practical ways to optimize mindset, get grounded with personal finances and to make intentional decisions so you too can take a sabbatical.

In her own words, “By the end of this book, you’ll learn that a sabbatical is not only financially attainable… you’ll gain the belief in yourself.” Totally recommended!

Can’t recommend Money and Mindset: How to take a Sabbatical enough for those considering taking the leap! The experiences outlined in the book hit on so many of the motivations and fears I had when deciding whether to make the change. It was like she could read my mind! It provides a pragmatic approach for taking a sabbatical, including the author’s personal budgeting, but it goes beyond just the tactical- diving into the emotions (namely fear and angst for me!) involved in making such a big change.

Julie’s content and coaching, helped me with the courage I needed to take the leap and move to Mexico solo, at the age of 41! While I’m still working remotely (for now), but the first few months here have been a dream- sometimes I can’t believe life can be this good. The freedom and adventure have surpassed even my wildest expectations. I have so much gratitude to Julie for so generously sharing her experiences.
